A song by Canadian favorites, The Tragically Hip, seemed like an appropriate parody for this week’s show which was recorded the day before Canada Day. “New Orleans Is Sinking” is the second single from the band’s debut studio album, Up to Here. The song has since become one of the band’s signature songs and still receives consistent radio airplay. In October 2005, several radio stations temporarily stopped playing the song out of sensitivity to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
