TRC #99

A parody of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” produced by Rick Rubin who created the music track using samples which included “Long Red” by Mountain. Factoid: Pat and legendary Mountain drummer, Corky Laing (perhaps the most widely sampled drummer in hip hop), appeared together on a CBC Radio panel in 1999. They heatedly discussed Napster, the internet and file sharing. Pat argued that Napster marked the need for the music industry as a whole to reconsider their business models.
